In 2023 Asphalt Green saw new leadership and a renewed strategic plan to propel the organization into a new chapter. I led the transformation of their brand to match their reputation of excellence and ambitious spirit.
Educational Alliance isn a legacy organization that has grown and changed over many years, but still maintains the values that inspired its beginnings. I led the work to develop a new logo, tagline and messaging framework to take the organization through its next 130 years.
The Greenlining team was seeking a new brand for a new chapter. As they approached their 30 year anniversary, they sought out a new brand that would more effectively tell their story, reflect their authority and credibility, and frame the work that they do.
Housing Works was launched in 1990 as the division of activist group ACT UP. The group was dedicated to to serving the tens of thousands of homeless New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS. In 2020, they celebrated their 30th anniversary against the backdrop of yet another pandemic. Housing Works continues to be a premier organization fighting for public health and housing justice.
As the creative lead on this work, I co-wrote the messaging, and designed the branding and OOH advertising to “re-introduce” Housing Works to New York, and connect with its history.
Encouraging hesitant communities to get vaccinated was a major challenge in 2021. For St. Louis County’s Department of Public Health, I designed a campaign brand that was friendly and familiar (the shade of red is inspired by the St. Louis Cardinals - Go Cards!) but also bold and authoritative.
This campaign saw a 23% increase in vaccinations, including a 10% increase in some of the most hesitant neighborhoods.
Democracy for All 2021 (and their PAC, DFA Action) is a coalition of voting rights, racial justice, civil rights, labor and environmental organizations to protect our elections from COVID-19 and advance structural reforms to our democracy.
I designed their branding and website to help advance the dozens of causes DFA 2021 champions to improve our democratic process.
I worked with the Center for Humane Technology to create messages and advertising that draw attention to the increasing problem of fake news online – and how Big Tech companies profit from it.
LOCUS is a registered investment advisor and nonprofit consultant that works with mission-driven institutions wherever they are on their local impact investing journey to help them create lasting, meaningful change in their communities.
The 2020 Census was already underway in Los Angeles, the “hardest-to-count” region in the U.S., when COVID-19 halted all in-person outreach efforts. We Count LA was a multilingual, multicultural campaign run in concert with a coalition of 115+ community organizations to increase census participation.
